Fall Middle School Math Activities

 

The weather is getting cooler, the leaves are starting to change colors, and the days are getting shorter. Most teachers and students have went back to school, watching football on the weekend is back in full swing, and fall activities are beginning.

To celebrate all of the fun that is happening, I have a list of no-prep math activities for you to use with your students! These various activities and worksheets for middle school math are sure to engage your learners and keep middle school math fun!

Middle School Thanksgiving Math Activities

Autumn is upon us and these no prep fall math activities are a fun and engaging way to help students review their math facts by adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing. These fluency activities would be a great addition to your emergency sub binder, for a fun day, or as an early finisher option!

These October math problems are geared towards 6th and 7th graders, but could be used for lower 8th graders and accelerated 5th graders!

Halloween Color by Number for Middle School

These color by number math worksheets are great for October math activities! These Halloween math activities incorporate math 6th grade ratios and proportions and 7th grade percent problems.

Halloween STEM Activity

This activity is a must do, especially if you love incorporating movement into your class! My 6th graders always have the best time with this halloween math activity. Read more about the Halloween STEM and Relay Activity here!

If you’re looking for math 6th grade worksheets, this activity can also be modified to have students do one-on-one, as a task card or scoot activity and more! The options are endless!

Long Division Math Activity

This long division activity for middle schoolers has been a fall favorite year after year! This activity is complete with seven long division worksheet printable in either color or black and white.

Students will go through the process of owning their own football stadium, purchasing team gear, paying their employees, calculating concession profits and so much more! Be sure to grab yours here!

Fall Cross Number Puzzle

If you’re not quite sure what a Cross Number Puzzle is, just imagine a crossword puzzle. In a crossword puzzle, you are given a short phrase and from that phrase you are expected to come up with a word that matches that phrase and has the same number of letters that the box shows. Well, a cross number puzzle is very similar. You are given an equation and your answer needs to match the specific number of boxes provided.

With this activity you will receive one complete cross number puzzle, an answer key, and a blank template so that student can make their own!

Fall Mystery Math Activity

The mystery math might have been one of the favorite math 6th grade worksheets that I gave to my students. With the mystery math, there are 26 symbols that match up with a letter and number. The students need to decode the words based on the symbols, and then add all of the symbols points up.

This activity comes with two pages of words to decode, along with answer keys, and a blank template so that students can create their own mystery words.

Middle School Fall Color By Number

The color by number fall math activity is pretty straight forward. There is a large pumpkin split many different ways, with an equation in each of the boxes. The students will solve the equations and then color the box the designated color.

This activity comes with one complete color by number activity and answer key, along with three blank templates so that your students can create their own color by number activities!

Math 6th Grade Ratios Color By Number

The color by number halloween math activity contains 40 ratio and proportion math equations. Students will spend time solving each equation and coloring it with the corresponding color from the map key down below.

This activity is based 6th and 7th grade standards but its great for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students!

  • One image with 36 math problems aligned to 7th grade standards

7th Grade Math Halloween Color By Number

This Frankenstein color by number halloween math activity contains over 40 percent math equations. Students will spend time solving each equation and coloring it with the corresponding color from the map key down below.

This activity is based on 7th grade standards but its great for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students!

Digital Thanksgiving Activities Addition

Your students will love this digital Thanksgiving addition activity! Students will use addition to build their own turkeys by choosing which pieces to use. Each piece in this digital addition activity is worth a certain amount of points that's students will want to get to. Students will get to release their creative sides by creating turkeys that express their style!

This resource includes three types of activities:
